Special Note
Please do not attempt to heat, glue, bend, fold or adjust the heel/arch portion of your devices in any manner as this can create permanent damage.  If for any reason additional adjustments are required to your devices, please contact Dr. Pack or Precision Sports, Inc. directly.

Cleaning Your Orthotics
Never place your custom orthotics in the washing machine or dryer.  Clean only with a damp cloth and mild soap.  If they get totally wet, clean and let air dry.

Breaking-In Instructions
Many people can begin wearing their orthotics full-time immediately.  Others, feel more comfortable with a "break-in" period.  The latter would involve gradually wearing them - perhaps 1/2 hour the first day and then 1/2 hour in the morning and afternoon the second day.  Increase timeframes each day for a period of 1 to 2 weeks.  By that time your feet should be extremely comfortable wearing the devices.

If at any time the devices feel very uncomfortable or you feel as though you are walking too much on the outside of your feet, do not hesitate to call Precision Sports for special instructions.

Do not wear your Precision Sports devices for running or other sporting activities until you feel quite comfortable walking with them.  Then begin running gradually and not suddenly for long distances.

Remove the devices from your dress or athletic shoes each evening to "air them out" as this will increase the life of your devices.

Fitting Instructions

Sports Devices - Athletic Shoes

All Precision Sports’ athletic devices are PURPOSELY MADE LONG so that if you choose to purchase a larger shoe they will fit.  The custom portion of the device is in the arch and heel areas and should not be modified in any manner.  The foam extension or toe pad [shown at right] is purely for additional comfort and is the only portion of the device you should cut or trim.  Simply remove your current athletic shoe insole and place it on top of your new custom orthotic.  Match the fit at the heel and trace the outline of the toe portion onto your new orthotic [similar to the dotted line on the above picture].  Simply cut the outlined area with a scissor to generate the correct fit for your athletic shoe.  Then replace your old inner sole with your new fully-custom Precision Sports device.   That’s all there is to it!

Remember to always error on the side of cutting less rather than more so that a new top cover doesn’t have to be replaced.

Formal Devices - Dress Shoes

Nothing needs to be removed from your shoes to make our dress shoe orthotics fit into your shoes.  No adjustments are required to these devices unless you feel that the length needs slight trimming for foot comfort.  Most people like for them to fit just behind where the toes meet the ball of the foot.  Some like them to extend a little longer.  If you prefer to have them a little shorter simply cut the foam extension [see picture].

Remember to always error on the side of cutting less rather than more so that a new top cover doesn’t have to be replaced.

Cleaning Instructions

Golf top cover

Use a damp (not soaking wet) cloth with a mild detergent and rub lightly.  A small amount of a mild spray detergent may also be used but do not soak the devices in water.  Let dry thoroughly before wearing.

For suede top covers

These covers are pseudo suede because they wear better and are much more durable.  Use a damp (not soaking wet) cloth with a mild detergent and rub lightly.  A small amount of a mild spray detergent may also be used but do not soak the devices in water.  Let dry thoroughly before wearing.
